Sam’s Club Riverside, CA
Jauregui & Culver removed six old Blueline piping rubber penetrations in the STP sumps that were old, cracked, and dilapidated; such dilapidation of piping penetration fittings will cause the site to fail secondary containment tests which will result in the site being out of compliance, and if not corrected may result in notice of violations and fines.
The six old rubber penetrations were replaced with six fiberglass Bravo repair penetrations for the piping penetrations in the three single wall STP sumps. Once cured, hydrostatic testing was preformed to ensure there were no leaks.
SKS E. Street Tank Removal
Jauregui & Culver, Inc. removed three 10,000 gallon double wall tanks from the site. We provided UST removal permits from the San Diego County DEH and city Fire department. Temporary facilities and storm water control measures were provided as needed, including fencing, sanitary facilities, and storm water inlet protection. The fuel system was removed, including the tanks, product piping, vapor return piping, and vent piping. We removed and disposed the hardscape over the tanks and piping. All concrete fuel islands, and all equipment on them including the dispensers, lights, pedestals, bollards and UDC’s, generator shed, and electronics cabinet were also removed. We washed, iced, hauled, and lawfully disposed of the USTs, including waste manifests of UST wash materials and tank destruction receipts. After removal of the tanks and piping, we back-filled and compacted the tank excavation and trenches with materials taken from them during the removal process. New backfill material equal in volume to the removed UST’s were included.
