SKS E. Street Tank Removal

Jauregui & Culver, Inc. removed three 10,000 gallon double wall tanks from the site. We provided UST removal permits from the San Diego County DEH and city Fire department. Temporary facilities and storm water control measures were provided as needed, including fencing, sanitary facilities, and storm water inlet protection. The fuel system was removed, including the tanks, product piping, vapor return piping, and vent piping. We removed and disposed the hardscape over the tanks and piping. All concrete fuel islands, and all equipment on them including the dispensers, lights, pedestals, bollards and UDC’s, generator shed, and electronics cabinet were also removed. We washed, iced, hauled, and lawfully disposed of the USTs, including waste manifests of UST wash materials and tank destruction receipts. After removal of the tanks and piping, we back-filled and compacted the tank excavation and trenches with materials taken from them during the removal process. New backfill material equal in volume to the removed UST’s were included.

Scripps Memorial Hospital

Jauregui & Culver, Inc. furnished and installed three UST’s for the emergency generator and boiler, potable water tank, and septic tank. We put in flex, double wall, steel piping and provided trenching and back-fill.

 

 

 

 

 

Sam’s Club Murrieta #4822

Jauregui & Culver, Inc. provided a turnkey fuel system replacement including tanks, dispensers, piping, monitoring system, Healy Clean Air Separator, and vent assembly. Additionally, we furnished and installed a 10,000 gallon diesel UST to add to the existing fuel system.

 

 

COC Fuel Facility

Jauregui & Culver, Inc. did a full design build for the County of San Diego Operation’s fuel facility. We procured permits, installed tanks, canopy, and a fuel system. We custom built the shoring that went in on the sides of the tank hole. The concrete footings, tank slab, and drive slabs were poured. Jauregui & Culver, Inc. also installed the fuel management system and continues to provide service and testing for the station. The existing fuel site was demolished, and can be seen here.

In addition, Jauregui & Culver, Inc. provided piping for the emergency generator system and is continuing to design build for the emergency generator system and other projects at this facility.

 

 

 

 

Sam’s Club Bakersfield #4819

Sam’s Club #4819 Bakersfield was a ground up fuel station. Jauregui & Culver, inc. excavated and installed two 20,000 gallon 87 gasoline and one 20,000 gallon split 12,000/8,000 10′ diameter Xerxes Underground Storage Tanks (UST) and deadmen.

We installed Fiberglass, APT, and steel piping to compile the fueling system, including trenching and gravel backfill. Two 3+1 gas/diesel dispensers and four 3+0 gas dispensers were installed, including the Under Dispenser Containment (UDC) basins, dispenser hanging hardware, and dispenser valance. Brine and vacuum tubing for the Veeder Root continuous monitoring and Pressure and Flow sensors in dispenser for the In Station Diagnostics (ISD). The Healy Clean Air Separator (CAS) was installed as part of the EVR II system.

We provided required Enhanced Leak Detection (ELD) testing of the fuel system at the conclusion of the installation of the fueling system and prior to opening. All fuel lines were purged and the dispensers calibrated, completing this project.

Jet Air Tank Removal

Jauregui & Culver, Inc. removed two single wall 12,000 gallon tanks enclosed in a concrete vault.  Demolition and environmental remediation were provided.

Fallbrook Village Aviation UST Removal

Two unknown tanks were discovered during development of this property. Jauregui & Culver removed two single-wall steel underground storage tanks approximated at 4,000 gallons each.

We furnished the San Diego Country Department of Environmental Health (DEH) and Fallbrook Fire Department UST Removal permits, including permit fees, permit application preparation, submission, and pick up.  A one time California State EPA number was obtained as required for manifesting and disposal purposes. We washed the UST’s and degas as required by agency guidelines.

The UST’s and all wash stream was manifested and lawfully disposed of. Soil samples were taken and analyzed. Jauregui & Culver, Inc. will back-fill with material equal to the volume of the removed UST’s and back-fill the tank hole to subgrade.

 

 

 

University of San Diego Tank Removal

 

 

 

 

 
Jauregui & Culver, Inc. removed a 10,000 gallon underground storage tank from beneath one of the campus roadways.  We furnished permits, testing, and environmental remediation.  Additionally, the soil around the tank was found to be contaminated.  Jauregui & Culver removed and disposed of the contaminated soil overburden in accordance to the county’s regulations.

 

 

CarMax Oxnard

Jauregui & Culver, Inc. provided submittals and drawings of the proposed fuel system necessary for CUPA, Fire Department, and Air Quality agency permitting.  We furnished and installed a complete gasoline fuel system that included one 4,000 double wall fiber glass underground storage tank, fuel dispenser, below ground fueling, vapor return and tank vent piping, under dispenser containment, vent transition containment, an enhanced vapor recovery system, and a vapor root monitoring system.  This required excavation, disposal of excavated soil, gravel back-fill materials meeting manufacturer specifications, crane, and back-filling operations. The new dispenser was calibrated and brought to compliance and Enhance Leak Detection was provided.
